| WEEKLY LESSONS: The West County Swing Dance Club meets every Tuesday night at Concord Farmers Club Hall at 10140 Concord School Rd, 63128. (See 'Maps' Page) for lessons and dancing. Lessons are taught 'week to week' and you do NOT have to wait until the 1st of the month to start a dance class. Cost for admission on Tuesday nights at Concord is $3.00 for everyone. Lessons are optional: Members pay $3.00 for lessons and Non-Members pay $5.00 for lessons. You do not have to be a member to attend the dance and lessons. 6:30 pm - Doors Open. 6:30 - 7:00 pm - General Dancing. 7:00 - 8:00 pm - Dance Lessons. 8:00 - 10:30 pm - General Dancing. Five (5) levels of dance lessons available every Tuesday night. You do not need a partner. |

Imperial Swing Dancing was first developed at a local St. Louis nightclub called 'Club Imperial' and has been said to be a refined version of the Jitterbug. It evolved into a combination of East Coast steps with West Coast swing moves danced in the slot that includes wraps and spins. |
